To drive between them you have to head north-west out of Pattaya, thread around the top of Bangkok on the ring road, then drop back down the western shore towards Hua Hin. Why is Pattaya to Hua Hin such an awkward route?
The two beach towns sit on opposite sides of the Gulf of Thailand, so there is no coastal road between them. A car has to loop up and around Bangkok on the ring road before heading back down the western side. Very few operators quote this run cleanly — most just say 'call us' — which is exactly why we publish one honest fixed price.
How long does the drive take?
Allow around five and a half hours for the roughly 400 km, including one proper rest stop. The variable is Bangkok's ring road: we time the trip to avoid the worst of it, but a Friday afternoon or a public holiday can add time, and we build a sensible buffer into every booking.
Is there a rest stop on the way?
Yes. On a journey this length we stop at least once for a coffee, a toilet break and a chance to stretch, usually around the halfway mark. Tell the driver if you would like to stop sooner or more often — it is your trip and there is no rush.
Can you collect us from a Pattaya hotel and drop at any Hua Hin resort?
Yes, it is fully door to door. We pick up from any address in Pattaya, Jomtien or Naklua and drive straight to your Hua Hin hotel reception, whether that is in town, out towards Khao Takiab or up near Cha-Am. No stations, no changes.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
